Keynotion’s Global Business Insight & Analytics Forum took place on 6th-7th June, Amsterdam. Organised by Anna Beklemisheva, Senior Event Production Manager at Corporate Parity which saw some of the brightest minds in this industry come together in an amalgamation of technology and business strategy.

Each event focuses on a specific area & application of analytics along with being of differing sizes allowing for a variety of experiences.
Ruud Vermeulen, Director DATA ANALYTICS – an Ortec Finance company began day 1 discussing ‘Augmented Intelligence – AI-enabled Business Intelligence’ with a strategic & global perspective on implementing & utilising analytics. David Arnoux, Co-Founder/Head of Growth – Growth Tribe highlighted ‘Growth Hacking: The role of data in your business’ during a Power Session. David tailored his topis to discuss the ‘fail approach’ to implementing analytics within your organisation. A problem which has been recognised by many organisations in the inability to focus on why analytics are being used & not to just focus on collecting reams of data. The key point taken from this session was adaptability; adapting & growing with analytics, accepting failures, learning & moving on.
Conrad Wolfram, Strategic Director – Wolfram Research brought a wealth of knowledge to the forum. Working in analytics before it was such a mainstream and widely used term. In discussing a ‘Multiparadigm Data Science: AI, Analytics and Answers’ Conrad began coding during the presentation for a live camera showcasing different forms of identification. Shivanku Misra, Director, Data Science & Analytics – The HEINEKEN Company brought ‘Enhancing Sales Strategies through Analytics’ through a concise & insightful presentation. each section was prepared using practical examples. Candice Ren, Head of Analytics – BADOO Ltd. taught all attendees about ‘Building Successful Products through Experiments – the Role of Analytics’ explaining each step in detail. Candice also facilitated for live discussions while moderating a discussion.
For this portion of the forum, attendees got the opportunity to separate into smaller groups focusing on Strategy & Technology;
GROUP A: Strategy was moderated by Cameron Brown, Strategic Risk Management Adviser (Digital Resilience and Information Control) Affiliate – Australian National University
GROUP B: Technology was moderated by Mando Rotman Practice Leader Advanced Analytics IBM Global Business Services – IBM
Alexey Dral, CEO – BigDataTeam discussing ‘Understanding Traditional Big Data and Emerging Analytical Architectures’ brought his vast knowledge of the Russian analytics sector. BigDataTeam is making strides in partnering with European based companies. Wouter Oosterbosch, Principal Data Scientist, IBM discussed the topic that is trending right now with ‘GDPR Excellence in 2018 and Beyond’ detailing practical tips for implementing analytical techniques, receiving positive feedback from all that attended.
Thanassis Thomopoulos, Data Strategy Specialist – Google discussed ‘Keep Calm and Remain Data-Driven: How to Tame Data Exponentiality’ invoking a lively discussion. Andy Baxendale Emerging Technology Specialist – Oracle ‘The Next Big Thing: Journey to Cognitive Computing’
