Keynotion’s 3rd Annual Banking Transformation & Innovation Summit voted one of FINTECHS top Banking Summits for 2017. This year saw an increase in innovators, developers & unique content from Fintechs, regulators and digitals banks from all area of the banking sector thanks to Anna Beklemisheva, Senior Event Production Manager – Corporate Parity. Supported by Bela Virag, Partner – Arthur D. Little & John Paul Lanham, Financial Services Professional – Independent Consultant both acting chairpersons.
Anne Boden, CEO – Starling Bank, delivered the keynote speech opening Day 1. Anne discussed ‘Innovation in banking’ explaining the difference between ‘new’ banking & what we know as ‘traditional banking’. Rober Kerner, Former Head of Innovation Personal & Business Banking highlighted ‘Piloting banks through the innovation journey’ with an in-depth analysis of where innovation is within banks & how this has changed. Sara Koslinska, Co-Founder & CEO – Limitless delivered a truly interesting presentation which received praise for the level of professionalism & interesting topic covered. Sara also facilitated constant openings for discussions throughout this presentation. Bella Virag Partner – Arthur D. Little ‘Managing Innovation – a strategic perspective’ discussing each aspect of the innovation.
Davor Gasparac, Head of Group Corporates – Erste Group IT delivered the keynote speech for day 2 asking attendees to consider ‘You want to be digital? Start changing your corporate culture’. This set the tone for the day ahead. Brian Halpin, Global Head of Automation HSBC brought attendees through ‘Examples of agile innovation in banking’. Brian created an interactive presentation which was relevant at a time when banks need to respond & create disruptive techniques. Mario Brkic, Innovation Strategist & Business analyst – BeeOne (digital innovation lab of Erste Group) brought some of the most interesting topics to discuss during ‘Empire Strikes Back’ discussing the developments in digital banking. Dr Siva Narayan, CEO & Founder – iBANK contributed to the open discussion highlighting ‘Multichannel Distribution’ We would also like to extend congratulations for the great developments within iBANK as start-up innovators in banking.
All speakers were extremely active in terms of discussions based on other speakers presentations. This lead to a supportive environment & great contributions. The venue set the tone for a professional conference with a comfortable setting, relaxed atmosphere & well-designed room. The cocktail reception after day 1 saw some of the best opportunities for networking which continued well after the reception finished. This summit created the perfect environment to learn from traditional & digital banking techniques.
